Chief Andrew Broussard
Chief Broussard is a dedicated law enforcement professional with more than a decade of service and a passion for leading with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. Over the course of his career, he has served as a Patrol Officer, Criminal Investigator, Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Sergeant, Lieutenant, Deputy Chief of Police, and Interim Chief of Police. Along the way, he has earned the trust of those he serves by leading through both everyday challenges and critical incidents with steady leadership and sound judgment.
He believes that leadership is about serving others, building strong teams, and helping people reach their full potential. Throughout his career, he has supervised more than 25 sworn and civilian employees, led complex criminal investigations, improved department operations, and workeds to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community.
Chief Broussard is a Louisiana P.O.S.T. certified officer, Certified Homicide Investigator, Active Shooter Instructor, and has specialized training in High-Risk Warrant Planning and Execution and Narcotics Investigations. Outside of law enforcement, he also serves in a leadership role with Our Savior’s Church Safety Team, helping provide a safe and welcoming environment for people to worship.
Above all, Chief Broussard is a follower of Jesus Christ, a devoted husband, and a loving father. His faith is the foundation of who he is and influences the way he leads, serves, and treats others. He strives to make a positive difference in every person, organization, and community he has the privilege to serve.
